I’ve now ditched Spotify completely to join the ranks of Deezer – going as far as enabling the Premium+ subscription for £4.99 a month (normally £9.99/month for non-EE customers) to allow me to use Deezer on my Mac without any adverts.
The best thing about all this is being able to listen to more unusual tracks. For example, I’m a huge fan of Kenneth Williams, especially his Rambling Syd Rumpo character. So you can imagine how happy I was when I discovered Deezer carries The Best of Rambling Syd Rumpo. My favourite track being “The Ballad of the Woggler’s Mulie”.
Deezer also has a rather lovely collection of Goon Show episodes too, which have all being added to my playlists. Doesn’t look like they carry Round the Horne which, if I recall, is carried by Spotify, but it’s not a big problem for now.
Anyway, *pokes Apple*, when’s iTunes Radio coming to the UK?
