I’ve cancelled my Virgin Media contract and have committed to BT for the remainder of the contract (and hopefully beyond).
Even though Virgin Media could reduce the 152Mb broadband connection to £22 per month, the BT connection has been a lot more stable over the past few weeks with the Draytek router. Additionally, BT have a great international calling plan for £5.85 a month that allows me to make phone calls to the USA for free, up to 600 minutes per month.
I’ve also noticed the number of nuisance calls on my BT line have reduced dramatically too. No idea what’s causing the level of dodgy call to drop, but it’s a blessed relief I can tell you.
I will still seek some compensation from BT for having to replace their router with one that works, but for the moment, I am happy enough.
