At the risk of sounding laddish, as a bloke I’m forever wondering what to buy people (especially the ladies in my family) as thank-you gifts.
Thankfully somebody has come to the rescue in the form of Pamper Parcels, a service that’s based around pampering. Whether it’s for yourself, a loved one, or as a thank you – Pamper Parcels has something for everyone. They even have a range for men!
What I like about Pamper Parcels is that they are an ethically driven, family run business. The products themselves are sourced from independent businesses supporting Fairtrade and use natural/organic ingredients. You can read more about the business here.
To test the service, I ordered a chocolate treat pamper parcel (£20 + a flat rate of £4.99 P&P). It arrived the next day at work:
And opening the package..
and then..
The little parcel in the centre is a lovely idea – the intention is that you pass it on to another person. A gift to gift. Pass the parcel as it were. Me? I ate it – well, not the parcel, but the contents. I won’t say what it was, but just know it was edible otherwise I’d be in trouble by now.
As for everything else, the parcel contained (in the past tense since everything was consumed in less than a week):
1 x Montezuma milk chocolate buttons
2 x Montezuma chocolate bars (one mint, the other milk)
2 x Montezuma milk chocolate hearts
I’ve got to say that the chocolate buttons were my favourite:
The mint chocolate bar was also excellent. What am I saying? It was all excellent. The downside? It went all too quickly ;( But that’s my problem, not Pamper Parcels
My experience from placing the order to receiving the goods was excellent. I shall certainly be placing more orders with them again in the future. I owe a few gifts to people already, so I have no excuse now.
I think Pamper Parcels has a fantastically rosy future – just as well as the person behind the company just happens to be called Rosie.
You can find Pamper Parcels on Twitter, Google+, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, and Rosie Shelley (the founder) can be found via Twitter and her blog.
